About The Event

“We have a beautiful history and we shall create another in the future that will astonish the world”-

Honorable Marcus Garvey

How much do you really know about your history, your origins and your culture? If you are like me, you probably don’t know enough!

Knowledge is the capacity to know oneself. The ability to draw on our ancestors past experiences, history, and spirituality to help develop healing, resilience, and strategies to overcome obstacles and understand problems that reoccur in the environment.

Knowledge of our history and spirituality hold the keys to understanding our behavior and answers for our collective healing.

Join us as we deep dive into the heart of healing by exploring our African Bermudian history with Mwalimu Melody Micere Van Putten  and  African Spirituality with Professor James Small.

Immediately following the lecture we will relocate upstairs to the multipurpose room where we will have an Emotional Emancipation Circle, food, music, vendors and more.
